Polished cross-platform NVR with strong smart-home integration (HomeKit/Google/Alexa), native face and licence-plate recognition and AI search. Not yet benchmarked on our test bench.

Strengths

Native face + licence-plate recognition and AI natural-language search in Scrypted NVR.
Cross-platform with web, desktop and mobile apps; strong smart-home integration and hardware acceleration.

Limitations

The capable recording tier (Scrypted NVR) is a paid/proprietary plugin — only the integration core is open source (Apache-2.0).
At-rest encryption of stored footage is not documented (only notifications are end-to-end encrypted).
Best experience leans on the vendor's apps and optional Scrypted Cloud relay.
