A legacy AI desktop NVR (people/vehicle/animal detection, not just motion) recently released as open source on GitHub. No longer under active feature development. Not yet benchmarked on our test bench.
Strengths
- Now open source (GPLv3) after years as a paid product; existing perpetual licences never expire.
- Smart detection of people/vehicles/animals (not just motion) fully local, no cloud storage subscription.
Limitations
- No longer under active development — legacy/archived project, best-effort support only for critical issues.
- No facial recognition (object categories only); Windows/macOS only, no Linux or Docker.
