A legacy AI desktop NVR (people/vehicle/animal detection, not just motion) recently released as open source on GitHub. No longer under active feature development. Not yet benchmarked on our test bench.

Strengths

Now open source (GPLv3) after years as a paid product; existing perpetual licences never expire.
Smart detection of people/vehicles/animals (not just motion) fully local, no cloud storage subscription.

Limitations

No longer under active development — legacy/archived project, best-effort support only for critical issues.
No facial recognition (object categories only); Windows/macOS only, no Linux or Docker.
