Strengths

Kami Doorbell/Mini do on-device facial recognition (a 'Face Album') without a subscription for that specific feature.

Limitations

No official RTSP/ONVIF — confirmed directly by Kami's own support forum; only unofficial, warranty-voiding 'yi-hack' firmware forks provide local streaming, and they break on updates.
Three 2026 CVEs, one (CVE-2026-4475, hard-coded credentials, CVSS 8.8, public exploit) still unpatched by the vendor as of publication.
Independent 2025-2026 reviews report declining support quality and increasingly paywalled local footage access — actively steer away from this brand for a privacy-focused setup.
