Self-hosted, local-only NVR and AI computer-vision software with built-in face recognition. Not yet benchmarked on our test bench.

Strengths

  • Fully open source (MIT) and local-only — no cloud dependency at all.
  • Built-in face recognition (dlib) plus object/motion detection and hardware acceleration.

Limitations

  • Docker/Linux-centric; web UI only, no first-party desktop/mobile apps.
  • No documented encryption of stored footage at rest.

Works with any ONVIF/RTSP camera (no hardware lock-in)
